What you should know before, during and after your visit – from costs and insurance to overnight stays for patients from further away.
Your first visit
At your first appointment we get to know each other, examine your teeth thoroughly and discuss the next steps with you.
Costs and quotes
We inform you about the expected costs in a personal consultation before any larger treatment begins.
Costs depend on the scope of treatment, the materials and any additional measures.
If you have a treatment plan from abroad, we prepare a counter-offer for you free of charge. For a procedure from CHF 5,000, general anaesthesia is included in the price if medically indicated.
Health insurance
Basic compulsory health insurance covers dental treatment only in exceptional cases; supplementary insurance contributes depending on the policy.
Exceptions include certain serious illnesses. Dental damage after an accident is usually covered by accident insurance. It is best to clarify coverage with your insurer in advance; we are happy to help with the necessary documents.
Payment in instalments
Payment in instalments through our billing company is possible for all treatment costs.
The amount of the instalments can be adapted to your circumstances. Ask us about it when planning your treatment.
Recall service
We remind you automatically of your next check-up – usually every six months.
Regular check-ups and professional cleaning help detect decay and periodontitis early or prevent them altogether.
Fear of the dentist
Anxious patients are very welcome: we take time and explain every step.
Computer-controlled anaesthesia with a very fine needle makes the injection more comfortable for many. When medically indicated, we treat under general anaesthesia, administered by a specialist anaesthesiologist in our practice. Read more under Treatment under general anaesthesia.
Overnight stay for patients from further away
For patients from other regions we can arrange an overnight stay in a nearby 4-star hotel on request.

X-rays and radiation protection
We use digital X-rays, with around 90 percent less radiation than film X-rays.
The image appears on screen immediately and can be enlarged and measured precisely. To check for decay we take bitewing X-rays every two years, analysed by our dentists and additionally by AI software.
Planning implants with the NobelGuide® method requires a 3D scan; for this we refer you to a specialised radiologist.
Data protection and confidentiality
Your health data is subject to professional secrecy and treated confidentially.
Please do not send us detailed health information by email, as emails are usually transmitted unencrypted. It is better to discuss your concerns by phone or at the practice. How we handle data on this website is explained in our privacy policy.
