Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions patients ask us most often – about appointments, emergencies, costs, treatment and getting here.

Appointments

How do I book an appointment?

The easiest way is by phone on 044 748 10 70, Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00. You can also email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you. Evening appointments are possible by arrangement.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your insurance details, a current list of your medicines and – if available – previous X-rays or records of earlier treatment. If you have already received a quote, bring it along too.

Will you remind me of my next check-up?

Yes. With our recall service we remind you automatically of your next check-up – usually every six months.

Emergency

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us: our practice phone is answered around the clock, including weekends and public holidays. We treat acute problems with or without an appointment. In case of difficulty breathing, severe swelling with high fever or after a serious accident, call the emergency number 144.

Read more, including what to do if a tooth has been knocked out, under Dental emergency.

Can I reach you on Sundays?

On Sundays our practice phone is reachable around the clock. For acute problems we discuss with you how we can help.

Costs & insurance

Does health insurance cover dental treatment?

In Switzerland, basic compulsory health insurance covers dental treatment only in exceptional cases, for example certain serious illnesses. Dental damage after an accident is usually covered by accident insurance. Supplementary dental insurance contributes to the costs depending on the policy. It is best to clarify coverage with your insurer in advance.

Can I pay for treatment in instalments?

Yes. Payment in instalments through our billing company is possible for all treatment costs; the amount of the instalments can be adjusted.

I have a quote from abroad. Can you compare?

Yes. For treatments planned and quoted abroad, we prepare a counter-offer for you free of charge. That way you can compare calmly – including the follow-up care close to home.

Treatment & care

Do you treat anxious patients?

Yes, anxious patients are very welcome. We take time, explain every step and use computer-controlled anaesthesia that is as gentle as possible. When medically indicated, treatment under general anaesthesia by a specialist anaesthesiologist is also possible.

Practice & getting here

Where can I park?

Free parking is available right in front of the building. The practice is in a medical centre in Geroldswil, about 20 minutes from Zurich.

I live further away. Can you help with an overnight stay?
